Jets CB Antonio Cromartie has been under fire for tweets about current labor issues….click here to read….

from Justin Barney of the St.Augustine Record, who has followed Cromartie since college….

Antonio Cromartie is not the brightest athlete out there and that’s saying a lot. Cromartie, a former Florida State star and current New York Jets defensive back, took shots at both the NFL player‘s union (of which he’s a member of) and the NFL because negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement are dragging along.

His ridiculous targeting of the player’s union prompted other NFL stars to speak out against him. Cromartie responded to one such comment from Seattle’s Matt Hasselbeck, saying through Twitter “I will smash ur face in.” In such a contentious and expensive labor dispute that is threatening the 2011 NFL season, why undermine your case with juvenile talk and four-letter words? Cromartie isn’t making a tough situation better. His me-against-the-world attitude may work for a rapper trying to sell records, but it’s not helping in delicate negotiations in a billion-dollar business.

Pipe down, Antonio.
